The Pristella Tetra is a highly popular and fun small freshwater fish that is hardy & easy to take care of. The Pristella Tetra is also known as the X-ray tetra for it’s transparent type body. They are a shoaling species and do best in groups of 6 of more. Native to the coast rivers of South America, it is a migratory species which means it tolerates a wide range of water parameters and adapts readily to the aquarium environment.

Pristella Tetra Diet:
Pristella Tetra’s are omnivores and will accept small size pellets, flakes and freeze-dried foods. Keep in mind their mouths are small and will require smaller foods. Supplement their diet with frozen, freeze dried and live foods.
