[North American Specification Pursuing Rotary Driving Performance] Announced in October 1991, Mazda’s third-generation sports car is the RX-7. It was sold not only domestically but also overseas, with North American sales starting in 1993. Two grades are available: the higher-grade “R1” comes standard with front and rear spoilers, a front strut with a tower bar, and the suspension shock absorbers changed to a sport type. We chose low-profile tires designed for better driving performance, delivering excellent driving performance: 0-60 mph (about 100 km/h) acceleration in 5.5 seconds and 1/4 mile (0-400 m) in 14 seconds. The RX-7 has gained many fans not only as Mazda’s signature high-performance car but also as the world’s only rotary sports car. It remains highly popular today and continues to be loved worldwide.
