Description

Cuba HC (Hemianthus callitrichoides) is highly regarded for its vibrant green colour and tiny, delicate leaves that form a lush carpet in aquariums. Native to Cuba, this plant is ideal for aquarists looking to create a natural, underwater meadow effect with its compact growth and stunning visual appeal.

It thrives best in temperatures ranging from 22°C to 28°C (72°F to 82°F) and prefers a pH level between 5.0 and 7.0. Cuba HC requires high light conditions and benefits significantly from CO2 supplementation, which helps maintain its dense growth and vibrant hue. Regular trimming is essential to keep it healthy and ensure even coverage across the substrate.

Not only does it enhance the aesthetics of an aquascape, but its dense structure also provides a natural habitat for small aquatic creatures. With careful maintenance, Cuba HC can transform your aquarium into a captivating and dynamic underwater garden.
