Catit mini fountain filters use three different filter media to purify your cat’s drinking water:
- The cotton mesh filter exterior retains hairs and debris.
- Active carbon helps remove odors and impurities from the water.
- Ion exchange resin is included to soften tap water by removing excess calcium and magnesium. If large amounts of these minerals pile up in your cat’s lower urinary tract, they could lead to urinary tract disease.
