Bell UH-1 “Iroquois” helicopter is often called “Huey”, it is a multi-purpose military helicopter, developed by the United States Army Air Force in 1955 on the basis of Bell Corporation’s Bell-204 helicopter Military type. In the early days, the military gave it the number HU-1. It was first used for military tasks in 1959. From 1962, all production models were renamed UH-1 series. The UH-1 family has been modernized and improved, and its models continued to be produced until 1976, with a total production of more than 16,000, of which about 7,000 participated in the Vietnam War that made “Huey” famous.
