Originating from the Amazon, the Cochu’s Blue Tetra is a relatively peaceful shoaling species. Like all shoaling fish, they should be kept in a group of 6 or more in a generously sized aquarium.
They are very active fish and like to socialise amongst themselves similarly to tiger barbs. They should not be kept with any long finned species as they are known to nip fins. It is highly recommended that these fish acclimatised very carefully as they can be quite sensitive to sudden changes in water parameters.
