Description

  • Scientific Name:
    POMACEA BRIDGESII

Mystery snails are a very popular addition to most aquariums, however they are trickier to keep than most people think. They require heating in winter, as well as regular calcium supplements to keep their shell in good condition.

Magenta Mystery Snails (Pomacea bridgesii) are vibrant, peaceful freshwater snails that help control algae while adding striking color to aquariums.

Appearance and Characteristics

Magenta Mystery Snails are selectively bred for their pink-to-purple shells with a light albino body, creating a signature magenta hue.  They are active and curious, often exploring the entire tank, and can grow up to inches in diameter as adults. Unlike Purple Mystery Snails, Magenta Mystery Snails have white fleshgiving them lighter overall appearance.
