Description
October 1991 saw the debut of this third generation (FD3S) model of the RX-7 rotary engine sports car. Endowed with superb handling born of its 50:50 weight distribution, a big factor in the car’s global success were the gorgeous curves of the body. Sales in North America began in 1993 with two models on offer including the R1, which had front and rear spoilers, a front tower bar on the strut suspension, and sports type shocks. With its high performance low-profile tires, it recorded a 0-60mph time of 5.5 seconds and a quarter-mile time of 14 seconds, leaving little doubt to its capabilities.

This kit recreates the sports grade R1 model. ★The 255hp twin rotor 13B engine is depicted in great detail along with the R1 tower bar. ★4-wheel double wishbone suspension and muffler system ensure there is plenty to look at on the model underside. ★Parts are included for left- and right-hand drive interior. ★Comes with parts to recreate option part fog lamps. ★Decals recreate emblems and more.
